Participation in a workshop with interactive elements

On May 13, 2025, students of the Odesa Institute PJSC "MAUP University" majoring in Psychology and the head of the Department of General Scientific, Social and Behavioral Disciplines, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor Alla Nerubasska took part in a workshop with elements of the interactive "Confident Speaker". The event was organized by the Department of Psychology of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi MDPU on the occasion of the All-Ukrainian Day of Science. The participants were invited to the open meeting of the psychological scientific circle "Ordo Amoris".
Members of the "Psychologist" club (MAUP), students of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years took an active part, who willingly answered the questions of the speakers together with applicants from other institutions of higher education. Pavlo Sapega, a 4th-year student, a member of the "Psychologist" club and the working project group of the OPP "Psychology" presented his theses on the topic: "Scientific report. Rules for writing a scientific report". After the speech, the teachers also shared their personal experience of scientific activity.
During the workshop, important topics were revealed: the purpose of rhetorical skills; formation of new forms of rhetoric; diplomatic speech; abstract and concrete thinking; argument; speech culture, etc. The expert guest of the event was: Nataliya Sereda - Candidate of Art Studies, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Social Systems Management of NTU "KhPI", Public Speaking Trainer, Certified Coach (The Academy of Executive Coaching), author of trainings: "Rhetoric for Leaders", "Mastery of Public Speaking", "Art of Storytelling".
The main goal of the event - to show that rhetoric is not only the "art of speaking", but social action, interpersonal interaction and the science of the expediency and effectiveness of speech, as well as - the art of influencing listeners - was fully achieved. Participants also  received many tips for successful future performances!
